Pocket Preserve · Yasha Games
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Pocket Preserve mobile game handles, why, and the
choices you have. Pocket Preserve (Android package
com.yashasystems.game.pocketpreserve) is published by Yasha Systems LLC
("we", "us"). The separate Yasha Systems
privacy notice covers our company website and voice-agent services.
- No Pocket Preserve account, no game server. Your progress is stored on your device and, if you are signed in to Google Play Games (Game Center on iPhone), backed up in your cloud save under your own Google or Apple account (section 4).
- Gameplay data goes only to our own storage. In most countries it is on by default and you can turn it off in Settings → "Share gameplay data". In the EU/EEA, the UK, Canada and South Korea it is sent only if you agree (section 2).
- Ads are served through AppLovin MAX and the ad networks it works with (section 3). You can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for advertising in Settings → "Privacy choices". On iPhone, ads use your activity in other companies' apps only if you allow tracking.
- Crash reports go to Sentry so we can fix bugs. They never include your name, e-mail, account or advertising ID.
- Reminders are local notifications, scheduled only if you allow them.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. The game is for players 18 and older and is not directed at children or teenagers.
1. Stored on your device
- Game progress: levels, stars, skins, your animal shelf, tutorial state and settings, to run the game.
- Economy: Seeds, Moonstones, Energy and daily reward history, to run the game's economy.
- A random save identifier created on first launch, used only to merge your saves across devices (section 4). It is not sent to us or to analytics.
- Purchase records (product, order ID, delivery state), to deliver each purchase exactly once and restore it.
- Your reminder choice, and cached game content so you can play offline.
This data stays on your device unless it is part of a cloud save (section 4), and is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
2. Gameplay data (analytics)
The game can send gameplay and economy events over an encrypted connection to our own storage at Cloudflare (section 9). No analytics company receives them. The events contain:
- a random analytics ID for this installation (not linked to your name, e-mail, account or advertising ID) and a per-launch session ID;
- device model, operating system and version, app version, session number and length;
- game events: levels started, won and lost, the moves played in each attempt, hints, Undo, currencies earned and spent, shop views, ad events and ad revenue per impression, achievements and settings changes;
- purchases: product, price and currency, order ID and store receipt, used to validate and de-duplicate revenue;
- where the game was installed from, once per installation: the Google Play install referrer (the store's campaign tag, such as the ad network and campaign name). It is read under the same rule as the events below.
Your IP address reaches Cloudflare when the game connects, as with any internet request. Our storage derives only your country from it and does not store the IP address.
We use this data to balance puzzle difficulty, find and fix problems, and understand which campaigns bring players. Whether it is sent from the start depends on where you are.
Most countries, including Turkey, the Philippines and the United States
Gameplay data is on by default. A one-time card at first launch tells you so. We rely on our legitimate interests in a balanced game that works and in knowing which campaigns bring players. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → "Share gameplay data".
The EU/EEA, the UK, Canada and South Korea
Nothing is sent unless you agree. The first time you open the game, it asks whether you want to share gameplay data. Until you answer, events are kept only in the game's memory on your phone. If you tap "Share gameplay", they are sent. If you tap "No thanks", they are discarded and nothing is sent. If you decline, the game may ask once more after about 6 months. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → "Share gameplay data".
The game decides which rule applies on your phone, from its language and region setting, the SIM and network country, and the time zone. If any of them points to one of these regions, or none can be read, the consent rule applies.
Turning it off
When you turn the setting off, the game stops sending events and stops using its analytics ID. If you turn it on again later, a new, unrelated ID is created. The old ID stays on your device only, so that Settings → "Delete my analytics data" can still ask us to delete the data sent under it (section 11).
Earlier test versions of the game also sent these events to GameAnalytics. Current versions do not. "Delete my analytics data" still covers data sent there.
3. Advertising: AppLovin MAX
The game shows rewarded and interstitial ads through AppLovin MAX, AppLovin's ad mediation service (AppLovin privacy policy). For each ad, MAX chooses between AppLovin and these ad networks, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy: Unity Ads, Mintegral, Pangle (ByteDance) and Liftoff (Vungle). The game does not use Google's ad services. Rewarded ads are always optional, and players who buy "Remove Ads" no longer see interstitial ads.
- The AppLovin and ad-network SDKs in the game collect your device's advertising identifier (on Android the advertising ID and app set ID; on iPhone the IDFV, and the IDFA only if you allow tracking), your IP address (from which they derive your approximate location), device and app information, your interactions with ads, and diagnostic information. They use it to serve, measure and personalize ads, to attribute app installs to ad campaigns, and to prevent fraud.
- Do not sell or share: Settings → "Privacy choices" has a "Do not sell or share my personal information" switch, off by default. When you turn it on, the game tells AppLovin, and through it the ad networks, not to sell or share your personal information for targeted advertising. It takes effect at once; ads may be less relevant, and the game plays the same either way. The same screen links to this policy.
- On iPhone, the game first explains why it asks, then Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether ads may use your activity in other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, neither the game nor the ad networks get the IDFA. You can change your answer in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Children: AppLovin's services may not be used for children. The game is for players 18 and older (section 13) and never runs its ads in a mode meant for children.
- On a device set to a country in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the ad SDKs are not started and no ads are shown.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).
4. Google Play Games: cloud save and leaderboard
If you already use Google Play Games, the game signs you in silently. Everything works without signing in.
- Cloud save: your progress and economy history (including each device's random save identifier, used only to merge saves) are stored in your Google Play Games saved games, under your Google account. We cannot access these saves. Paid items are not stored there; they are restored from Google Play.
- Weekly leaderboard: your weekly daily-puzzle score is submitted to the Play Games leaderboard and shown with your Play Games profile, subject to your profile's visibility settings.
Google processes this data under its privacy policy; the Play Games SDK also collects its own diagnostics.
5. Purchases
Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play; we never receive your payment card or billing address. The game receives the product, price, currency, order ID, purchase token and a signed receipt, verifies the receipt on your device, and keeps a purchase record on the device so it can deliver the item exactly once and restore it later. If gameplay data is shared, the purchase is also reported as described in section 2. For refunds and order history, use Google Play.
6. Game content, configuration and time
The game downloads its configuration, the daily-puzzle schedule and puzzle packs, and reads the current time, from our website play.yashasystems.ai, hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address, the app's user agent and the time of the request to Cloudflare. No identifier of yours is sent, and we do not keep request logs. The time is used so that Energy refills and daily rewards follow a trustworthy clock.
7. Crash and error reports: Sentry
When the game crashes, freezes or hits a script error, a report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.), stored in Sentry's EU data region (Frankfurt, Germany).
- A report contains the error and stack trace, app version and build, device model, operating system and version, memory, CPU and battery state at the time, and the game's recent errors and warnings.
- It never contains your name, e-mail, account, advertising ID or the game's log file. The game removes anything that looks like an identifier (random IDs, e-mail addresses, tokens, IP addresses) from the report before sending it.
- Sentry derives your approximate country from the connection when a report arrives; the IP address and any city-level location are discarded and never stored.
We use crash reports only to find and fix problems, based on our legitimate interest in a game that works.
8. Local notifications (reminders)
If you choose "Notify me" and allow notifications, the game schedules reminders on your device, such as "Energy is full", "Today's puzzle is ready" and a gift waiting on your animal shelf. They are created and delivered by your device's operating system; no data is sent to us or to a push-notification service. Turn them off in the game's Settings → "Notifications" or in your device settings.
9. Who receives data
| Recipient | What | When |
|---|---|---|
| AppLovin (MAX) and the ad networks it mediates: Unity, Mintegral, Pangle (ByteDance), Liftoff | Advertising ID or app set ID (IDFA on iPhone only with tracking allowed), IP address and approximate location, device and app information, ad interactions, diagnostics, your "Do not sell or share" choice (section 3) | When ads may be shown |
| Google (Play Games, Play Billing) | Cloud save, leaderboard score, purchases (sections 4–5) | If you use them |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Gameplay data, stored in our own storage (section 2); website requests (section 6) | Gameplay data: while "Share gameplay data" is on |
| Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Crash and error reports (section 7) | When the game hits an error |
These providers process data for us or, in the case of Google, AppLovin and the ad networks, as independent parties under their own terms. Some of them process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, under contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. GameAnalytics no longer receives any data; it holds only what earlier test versions sent (section 2).
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some US state laws, letting ad companies collect data in the game for personalized advertising can count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out at any time with Settings → "Privacy choices" → "Do not sell or share my personal information", or by deleting your advertising ID.
10. How long data is kept
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Data on your device | Until you clear the app's data or uninstall it |
| Cloud save and leaderboard | In your Google account until you delete them (section 11) |
| Gameplay data (our storage) | 400 days, then deleted automatically |
| Data earlier test versions sent to GameAnalytics | Under GameAnalytics' retention policy; deleted on request (section 11) |
| Crash reports (Sentry) | Up to 90 days |
| Website requests | No request logs are kept |
| Advertising data | Under AppLovin's and each ad network's policies (section 3) |
11. Your choices and rights
- Gameplay data: Settings → "Share gameplay data". Turning it off stops all gameplay data at once. Where it is on by default, this is how you object; where it is based on consent, this withdraws it (section 2).
- Ads: Settings → "Privacy choices" → "Do not sell or share my personal information"; advertising ID: your device settings; on iPhone, tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Reminders: Settings → "Notifications", or your device's notification settings.
- Delete your data: clear the app's data or uninstall it to remove everything on your device. To delete the cloud save and leaderboard entry, delete Pocket Preserve's game data in the Google Play Games app's settings; Google keeps it under your account until then. To delete analytics data already sent, tap Settings → "Delete my analytics data": the game turns "Share gameplay data" off and sends us a deletion request for every analytics ID it used, and within 30 days we delete that data from our storage, and from GameAnalytics if an earlier test version sent it there. The support page has every step.
Legal bases
- Legitimate interests: gameplay data where it is on by default (section 2), crash reports (section 7), and receipt checks that stop fraud (section 5).
- Consent: gameplay data in the EU/EEA, the UK, Canada and South Korea (section 2), and ads where the law requires consent, such as tracking on iPhone (section 3).
- Contract: delivering and restoring what you buy (section 5).
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, Turkey's KVKK, the Philippines' Data Privacy Act or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as your EU supervisory authority, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or the Philippine National Privacy Commission.
To use these rights, e-mail info@yashasystems.ai. Because the game has no account of its own, and we cannot see your Play Games or Game Center account, gameplay data is linked only to a random ID that stays inside the game, so we cannot find it from your name or e-mail; use Settings → "Delete my analytics data" to have it deleted. We answer within 30 days.
12. Permissions the app uses (Android)
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state | Ads, gameplay data (when shared), crash reports, game content and time, Google Play services |
| Notifications (Android 13+) | Reminders, only if you allow them |
| Run at startup, wake lock | Keep scheduled reminders after a restart |
| Advertising ID, ad measurement (Android ad topics and attribution), Wi-Fi state, vibration, Google Play license check, Amazon privacy-pass attestation (added by the AppLovin and ad-network SDKs) | Ads, ad measurement and fraud prevention |
| Install referrer (Google Play) | Install source, under the same rule as gameplay data (section 2) |
13. Children and teenagers
Pocket Preserve is for players 18 and older and is not directed at children or teenagers; its store listings set that age group. Its ads come from AppLovin, whose services may not be used for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. On iPhone
An iPhone version is in testing. It works as described above, with Apple's services in place of Google's: Game Center and iCloud saved games instead of Play Games, the App Store instead of Google Play, and the IDFA (only if you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, section 3) or the IDFV as the advertising identifier. When gameplay data is shared, the install source comes from Apple Search Ads: the game sends Apple's attribution token, our server asks Apple which ad campaign, if any, led to the install and stores that answer, never the token. Apple may also send us anonymous install reports for ad campaigns (SKAdNetwork), which contain no information about you.
15. Changes
We will update this policy when the game's data practices change and change the date at the top. For significant changes we will also tell you in the game or in the store listing's release notes.
